National Life’s STUNNING 2024 Triumph: Life Sales SOAR 20%, Annuities SKYROCKET 17%!

NLG reached several new sales benchmarks in 2024. These include life insurance policies at $635 million, annuities at $3.4 billion, and assets under management at $57.4 billion.

Sales of life insurance and annuity products surged by 20% and 17%, respectively.

Despite these tremendous sales figures, CEO Mehran Assadi emphasizes this is not the focus of the mutual company.

“The difference between this organization and some of our competitors… is in the fact that we are not product pushers,” Assadi said, acknowledging a “tremendous respect” for competitors. “We are about educating and also providing consulting services to the marketing organizations with whom we work.”

As part of the NLG executive team, Assadi participated in an investor conference call last week to discuss the company’s annual report for 2024, which was released in April.

NLG is one of the oldest mutual insurance companies in the United States. For 2024, National Life Group reported core earnings of $507 million, an increase of $36 million from the prior year. The insurer finished the year with total assets of $56.4 billion, a significant increase of $10 billion from a strong 2023, according to Assadi.

As per LIMRA, NLG ranks first in sales of fixed indexed annuities in employer-sponsored retirement plans and also leads the country in sales of indexed universal life insurance.
