kWh Analytics appoints Anthemis founder Amy Nauiokas to board
kWh Analytics, a provider of climate insurance and risk management for renewable energy projects, has appointed Amy Nauiokas—Founder and Group CEO of Anthemis Group—to its Board of Directors.
The move reinforces kWh Analytics’ ambition to scale its data-driven insurance solutions at a time when the clean energy sector faces growing climate and financial risks.
Nauiokas brings a distinguished background in financial innovation and strategic growth. As the founder of Anthemis, she has been instrumental in shaping the firm into one of the most influential fintech investment platforms globally.
Since its inception, Anthemis has supported over 250 companies, establishing itself as the first venture capital firm to focus solely on financial services innovation.
Under Nauiokas’s leadership, the firm has gained a reputation for guiding businesses through transformative phases of development, particularly in the fintech and insurtech arenas.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal point for kWh Analytics, which is rapidly expanding its suite of climate insurance products tailored for solar, wind, and energy storage infrastructure.
“We are thrilled to welcome Amy to our board,” added Jason Kaminsky, CEO of kWh Analytics. “Her exceptional track record in capitalizing, building, and scaling innovative financial services companies aligns perfectly with our mission to expand climate insurance solutions for the renewable energy sector.”
Nauiokas, known for her influence in both financial technology and insurance innovation, has held board positions with multiple successful ventures. Her governance has supported companies through key transitions, including Flo’s acquisition by Moen and Power’s acquisition by Marqeta. She is widely regarded as a visionary in aligning capital markets with emerging technologies and sustainability goals.
“The renewable energy sector stands at a critical inflection point, where innovative insurance solutions can help accelerate the world’s transition to clean energy,” commented Nauiokas.
“kWh Analytics has built a powerful platform that uses data intelligence and underwriting expertise to assess risk and reward extreme weather resilience for solar, wind, and battery projects. I’m excited to help the team grow their impact at this crucial moment in the fight against climate change.”
Anthemis was an early backer of kWh Analytics, participating in the company’s Series A funding round. Nauiokas’s appointment replaces a former Anthemis board representative, continuing the firm’s long-standing partnership with kWh Analytics as the company scales to meet the rising demand for climate-aligned insurance offerings.
